  4. But there was an effect in the film Undiscovered Country that I'd like to 
  5. reproduce.

  7. When the Klingon Bird of Prey fired its weapons while cloaked you could 
  8. see just the nose of the ship fade in as it was illumated by its weapons 
  9. fire. Is there a way to control transparency on an object so that I can 
  10. pick areas on it that will become visible when I want them to?
